Stop Blaming Etsy Traffic for Your Falling Revenue

    18/09/2026 | 19 min
A successful Etsy seller came to me with a problem: her revenue was down 16%, her traffic was down, and she assumed the answer was simple: she needed more traffic.
But when we actually pulled her order data apart, that wasn't the problem at all.
Her total number of orders was only down about 2%.
The real problem was how much each customer was spending.
In this episode, I break down the numbers behind her shop and explain why Average Order Value and median order value can tell you things that Etsy's normal dashboard won't.
We'll look at why her typical customer went from spending around $40 to around $32, how a cheaper product was unintentionally replacing some of her higher-value sales, and why adding more products wasn't fixing the problem.
Then I'll show you the strategy we came up with to fix it: turning the listings Etsy is already sending traffic to into "mini shops" where customers can see complementary products, upgrades, bundles, and variations without needing to leave the listing.
If your Etsy revenue has dropped and your first instinct is to blame traffic, SEO, or the algorithm, pull your numbers first.
You might already have enough customers.
You may just need those customers to buy a little more.

Stop Making These 5 Etsy Ads Mistakes

    11/09/2026 | 14 min
    https://youtu.be/TMjrqwx0w-M
Etsy Ads can absolutely help grow your shop  but they can also burn through your money if you manage them the wrong way.
In this episode, I'm breaking down five of the biggest mistakes I see Etsy sellers make with their ads.
We're talking about why you shouldn't advertise every listing in your shop, why constantly changing your ads can actually hurt performance, how to properly increase your budget, what to do BEFORE turning off an underperforming ad, and why your Etsy Ads dashboard may not be telling you the whole story.
The goal of your ads shouldn't just be immediate sales.
Your ads should either be earning you money or teaching you something that helps you earn more money later.
If you're currently running Etsy Ads or thinking about starting, this episode will help you spend smarter, gather better data, and give your shop a much better chance of growing profitably.

The Etsy Advice I'd Give Every New Seller

    04/09/2026 | 20 min
Starting a new Etsy shop can feel overwhelming, especially when you don't have enough data yet to know what's working.
In this episode, I break down the 3 things I think every new Etsy shop needs to focus on if you want to build something that can actually grow.
We'll talk about why you shouldn't just create products and hope they sell, how to find a real gap or problem in the market, and why your shop needs a clear core belief behind what you're selling.
I'll also explain one of the biggest killers of Etsy sales: friction. Confusion and worry can stop someone from purchasing even when they like your product, which is why your photos and listings need to answer questions, show the product clearly, and make buying feel easy.
Finally, we'll talk about the toughest part of being a new seller: making decisions when you barely have any data. Instead of panicking over 11 views or one bad week, your job early on is to experiment, test different angles, and collect useful data as quickly as possible.
If your Etsy shop is still new, this episode will give you a much clearer idea of what deserves your attention right now.

Etsy vs Amazon vs Your Own Website: Where Should You Sell Next?

    28/08/2026 | 18 min
If your Etsy shop is already getting sales, the next question is: where should your next wave of traffic come from?
In this episode, I break down how successful Etsy sellers can start diversifying beyond Etsy without abandoning what's already working. We'll talk about using your Etsy shop as your testing ground, figuring out who your real customer is, and then finding more of those people elsewhere.
I also dig into two of the biggest opportunities for established Etsy sellers: building your own website and driving traffic with Meta ads, and expanding your best-selling products onto Amazon.
    We'll cover:
When it actually makes sense to diversify your traffic
Why trying to be everywhere on social media usually fails
How Etsy can become the top of your funnel instead of your entire business
What your average order value should look like before running ads
Why products that already sell on Etsy may have an advantage on Amazon
How to test Amazon without sending thousands of products into FBA
Why personalized products may have a particularly interesting opportunity on Amazon
The goal isn't to leave Etsy. It's to take what Etsy has already taught you about your products and customers and use that information to build your next source of growth.
If your Etsy shop is working and you're wondering what comes next, this one is for you.

A lot of Etsy sellers create products by guessing. They have an idea, make it, list it, and hope something sticks.
But once your shop has traffic and sales, you don't have to guess anymore.
In this episode, I break down how to use the data Etsy is already giving you to decide what to create next. We'll look at the searches bringing people into your shop, how to identify directions buyers are already showing interest in, and how to combine that information with the colors, styles, and types of products Etsy itself seems to be promoting.
Because the sweet spot isn't just creating what people are searching for. It's finding the overlap between what shoppers want and what Etsy wants to show them.
I'll also talk about auditing your existing products, spotting opportunities inside listings that are already working, and maximizing the revenue you get when you finally find something Etsy wants to push.
The goal is simple: stop creating randomly and start letting the data give your creativity a direction.
