I see the need to help you defend against all kinds of hijackers. Often times Product Owners and Agile Dev Teams get confused on who owns what when it comes to the product backlog and the sprint backlog. I want to help you figure that part out, but I also want to share some practical ways that you, as a product person, can grow your practice and work in the right backlog. Maybe you are not sure about how much detail to put into this story, or maybe you are not confident enough to walk away from it and just take your hands off the Sprint Backlog. Remember, that is owned by the dev team.
