  In this powerful and deeply personal conversation, David Peck speaks with filmmaker Eisha Marjara about her new film Calorie, a story rooted in the emotional aftershocks of the 1985 Air India bombing. Drawing from her own family history and loss, Marjara unpacks the complex layers of grief, identity, and resilience embodied in Monica—a single mother living in the long shadow of tragedy. Together, they explore how personal trauma intersects with political and cultural histories, and how storytelling can reveal universal truths that bridge cultures and foster empathy.
