THE BOYS ARE BACK.
And apparently Tyler decided the best way to celebrate our return was to completely blindside Woody with a list of conspiracy theories and force him to rank them on the spot.
Welcome to The Ultimate Conspiracy Theory Ranking | Volume 1.
No prep.
No research.
No warning.
Just Woody, Tyler, a pile of conspiracy theories, and one simple scale:
1: Not in a million years.
5: Absolutely. I’d bet my life on it.
What could possibly go wrong?
In this episode of That Would Be Rad, we finally answer a question longtime listeners have probably wondered more than once:
What do Woody and Tyler actually believe?
Over the years, we’ve talked about UFOs, simulation theory, strange history, paranormal encounters, hidden agendas, unexplained phenomena, and more rabbit trails than we can count.
But this time, Tyler came prepared with a list.
Woody did not.
And the results get interesting fast.
We tackle some of the biggest conspiracy theories of all time, including the Moon landing, Stanley Kubrick, Area 51, Bob Lazar, Paul McCartney, The Simpsons, Princess Diana, the Mandela Effect, and plenty more we’re deliberately not spoiling here.
Some theories get laughed out of the room.
Some receive surprisingly high scores.
Some reveal that Woody and Tyler agree far more than either expected.
And others may be enough to ruin a perfectly good friendship.
But underneath all the ridiculousness, arguments, side trails, and increasingly questionable rankings is a much bigger question:
How do you know what to believe anymore?
When photographs can be manipulated...
Voices can be cloned...
Videos can be fabricated...
Stories can spread before anyone verifies them...
And the line between authentic and manufactured gets blurrier by the day...
What does “evidence” even mean anymore?
And can you explore a strange idea without automatically believing it?
That’s where this episode gets very That Would Be Rad.
We’re not here to tell you every conspiracy is true.
And we’re definitely not here to tell you every strange theory is nonsense.
We’re here to look at the weird stuff, argue about it, laugh about it, follow the rabbit trail a little too far...
And ask the question that has fueled this show from the beginning:
Okay... but what if?
And here’s the problem:
We didn’t even make it through Tyler’s list. Not even close. So yes...
Volume 2 is coming!
And things may get even stranger from here.
This episode is for anyone who loves conspiracy theories, alternate timelines, paranormal podcasts, unexplained mysteries, high strangeness, fringe theories, internet rabbit holes, and arguing about bizarre ideas with your best friend.
So put on the headphones.
Keep an open mind.
Question everything.
And rank along with us.
1 through 5.
Where do YOU land?
Be Rad.

The God in the Water.
In Burkina Faso, there is a place called Dafara.
A hidden chasm in the earth.
A rocky ravine.
A murky pool.
And according to the people who lived near it, something was waiting beneath the water.
Not a statue.
Not a myth carved into stone.
Not a symbol.
A living thing.
A creature.
A god that had to be fed.
In the summer of 1986, Pastor Robin Swope visited Dafara while serving as a missionary in West Africa. What he found there sounded like something from a nightmare: the smell of blood and rotting flesh, animal sacrifices at the edge of a dark pond, villagers who feared the water, and a terrifying warning passed down through generations:
Do not go in.
The god will eat you alive.
Join Woody and Tyler as they descend into the mystery of Dafara, the West African legend of a creature beneath the pond, and the eyewitness account that claims something large, black, smooth, and unknown rose from the water to feed on raw flesh.
Was it a giant African catfish?
A misidentified animal made terrifying by folklore?
A hidden population of oversized fish trapped in an isolated ravine?
Or was there something much stranger lurking beneath the surface?
Together, we explore the story of Pastor Robin Swope, the so-called “Paranormal Pastor,” the sacrifices made at Dafara, the villagers who believed the creature could grant fertility or bring a curse, the legend of the explorer who supposedly dove into the pond and never came back, and the dark question at the center of it all:
What was really living in the water?
This episode is for anyone who loves cryptids, African folklore, unexplained creatures, paranormal stories, monster legends, mysterious places, strange eyewitness encounters, cryptozoology, folk horror, missionary mysteries, and stories that feel too bizarre to be real.
Because some legends are not born in castles or graveyards.
Some are born in remote places.
Places where the air smells like blood.
Places where the locals refuse to swim.
Places where something rises from the dark when the offerings hit the water.
This is not just a story about a monster.
It is a story about fear.
About belief.
About sacrifice.
About the thin line between folklore and eyewitness testimony.
And about what happens when generations of people agree on one rule:
Do not enter the water.
So follow us down into the rocks, stand at the edge of the pond, and listen closely...
Because something is moving beneath the surface.
Be Rad.

In 1589, a farmer named Peter Stumpp was accused of terrorizing the German countryside for decades. According to the accounts of the time, Stumpp had made a pact with the Devil, received a mysterious belt that allowed him to transform into a monstrous wolf, and used that power to commit a series of horrifying crimes.
But this story is much more than a werewolf legend.
It is a nightmare pulled from a world of religious panic, witch trials, public executions, folklore, fear, and violence.
Join Woody and Tyler as they travel back to late sixteenth-century Germany, a time when belief in demons, witchcraft, magic, and monsters wasn’t just superstition. It was part of everyday life. In that world, people didn’t ask whether werewolves were real.
They asked where they were hiding.
Together, we explore the terrifying legend of Peter Stumpp, the giant wolf said to stalk the countryside near Bedburg, the infamous Devil’s belt, the alleged transformation, the missing hand, the brutal confession, and one of the most shocking public executions you’ve probably never heard of.
Along the way, we dig into the deeper mystery at the heart of the case:
Was Peter Stumpp truly a monster?
Was he a murderer whose crimes became wrapped in folklore?
Was he a victim of torture, fear, and religious hysteria?
Or did the legend of the Werewolf of Bedburg become so powerful that it swallowed the truth completely?
If you love werewolf folklore, dark history, witch trials, true crime, cryptids, monster legends, demonic pacts, medieval punishment, or stories that live somewhere between history and nightmare, this episode is for you.
This isn’t just a story about a werewolf.
It’s about fear.
The kind of fear that spreads through villages.
The kind of fear that turns rumors into accusations.
The kind of fear that can transform a man into a monster.
So lock the doors, keep away from the woods after dark, and whatever you do...
Don’t put on the belt.
Be Rad.

For decades, reports of mysterious craft and non-human intelligences have captured the imagination of millions. Governments investigate them. Fighter pilots report them. Entire belief systems have formed around them. But long before congressional hearings, Pentagon footage, and discussions about "non-human intelligence," a group of Orthodox Christian mystics and saints were issuing a very different warning.
What if the phenomenon is real... but not extraterrestrial?
Join Woody and Tyler as they explore the ancient world of Orthodox Christianity, the Desert Fathers, aerial spirits, Ezekiel's famous "wheel within a wheel" vision, the Nephilim, medieval encounters with strange beings in the sky, and the teachings of four influential Orthodox holy men who all arrived at a remarkably similar conclusion about UFOs.
What We Talk About in This Episode:
• Why UFOs and UAPs have suddenly become mainstream topics of discussion
• The Pentagon, military encounters, and the rise of "non-human intelligence" conversations
• What Orthodox Christianity actually is and why it differs from most forms of Christianity in America
• The Desert Fathers, spiritual warfare, and the Orthodox tradition of discerning spirits
• Ezekiel's bizarre vision and why UFO researchers have been fascinated by it for decades
• The Nephilim, the Book of Enoch, and ancient stories of beings descending from the sky
• Medieval encounters with faeries, aerial beings, and mysterious sky phenomena
• St. Gabriel Urgebadze, St. Paisios of Mount Athos, St. Porphyrios, and Fr. Seraphim Rose
• Why these four influential Orthodox figures all viewed UFO encounters through a spiritual lens
• The fascinating idea that humanity may interpret the same unexplained phenomena differently depending on the culture and era
• Whether modern UFO encounters are something entirely new—or simply the latest version of a mystery humans have been trying to explain for thousands of years
Why You NEED to Listen:
Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, a Christian, an atheist, a UFO enthusiast, or just someone who loves exploring strange ideas, this episode is guaranteed to make you think.
This isn't an episode about proving that aliens are demons.
It's an exploration of one of the most fascinating questions we've ever discussed on the show:
If something beyond human understanding really was interacting with humanity... would we even recognize it for what it truly is?
So grab your Bible, your tinfoil hat, or maybe both—and join us as we venture into one of the weirdest rabbit holes we've explored in a long time.
Be Rad.
