Aujourd’hui je vais vous expliquer pourquoi créer de la confiance avec les Français peut parfois sembler plus difficile qu’ailleurs.

En France, les relations se construisent lentement : on passe de “connaissance” à “copain”, puis peut-être “ami”, au rythme de la sincérité et des moments partagés.

Today, that's my daughter's birthday.... and I’m going to tell you about a very personal challenge:

passing my native language on to my daughter, who was born and raised in Spain.

I’ve been speaking to her in French for five years… even though she almost always answers in Spanish!

Between pride, frustration, doubts, and small victories, I share what it really feels like to raise a bilingual child when the environment doesn’t always help.

You’ll see that our struggles are often the same: understanding a language is one thing… daring to speak it is another.

In this episode, I explain how I try to keep French alive at home—gently, patiently, and without pressure.
