Bike Boy – The True Crime Podcast

“They WILL go to jail.” Former Professional Standards Command officer Krystle Mitchell explains what police implicated in the alleged Bike Boy cover-up could face if found guilty of perjury.

She also explains how former premier Daniel Andrews demanded 45-minute freeway queues during COVID for favourable media coverage. Mitchell links crashes and a fatality to poor planning during the operation—raising the question: does Victoria Police operate at arm’s length from government, or is it subject to political interference?

500 pages of evidence that Victoria Police refuse to investigate. We take a deep dive into the consequences of the alleged cover-up and examine disturbing allegations of criminal conduct, including perverting the course of justice, involving former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, his wife Catherine and members of Victoria Police.

The discussion heats up as Dave Hughes joins the Bike Boy team to unpack the damning 000 call Daniel Andrews made six and a half minutes after his SUV collided with 15-year-old Ryan Meuleman. The crash nearly killed Ryan. This investigation exposes evidence of an alleged decade-long cover-up.

In series 3, popular Australian comedian and political commentator Dave Hughes sits down with the Bike Boy team. The 500 page evidence brief has been with Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush for nine weeks, with no action publicly announced.

With the 2026 Victorian election just two months away, Bush — who came into the job with clean hands — faces accusations that he is allowing the alleged cover-up to continue.

This four-part special series continues the push for criminal charges against former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews and his wife, Catherine, and for justice for Ryan Meuleman.

Series 3 of Bike Boy: The True Crime Podcast is about accountability.
