    199. Inherited Wounds : Indigenous Boarding School System

    06/07/2026 | 1 h 1 min
The United States of America is 250 years old..ish, but in becoming the USA, entire communities, nations and cultures were crushed beneath teh wheel of "progress." Indigenous people in North America were removed from their land, had their practices, knowledge and culture stripped from them. One of the major cogs in the assimilation machine was the Native American boarding school system. A system of abuse that caused trauma that affected generations, inherited wounds.

    197. The AIDS Crisis

    23/06/2026 | 1 h 29 min
In the early 1980s, doctors in the US started noticing clusters of unusual illnesses like cancers and pmeumonia in healthy young men, the only thing that connected them, was that they were sexually active with other men. An epidemic emerged, a disease with no name, as a mysterious, highly fatal illness. It sparked widespread panic and devastating personal loss. A crisis heavily defined by government inaction and societal stigma, thousands of lives lost to HIV/AIDS.
