• Amplify Series 109 - Ramon Tapia

  Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @ramon-tapia for its 109th episode of Amplify Series. Ramon Tapia was born and raised in Holland, with a Dutch mother and Chilean father – his upbringing had an eclectic mix of cultures which in turn developed and influenced his decision to become a musician. Ramon likes to raise his bar and his sound evolves constantly with a new inspiring sound. In 2023 he entered into the Raw Techno techno Top 10 charts with a bang, with tracks like his collaboration with Gaston Zani “Friction” on Planet Rhtyhm ” and “Circular” on Christian Smith’s Tronic Music in 2024 .Expect collabs and remixes for Pan-Pot , Hertz and much more. His skills aren’t limited to producing. He is also a highly skilled DJ, performing for crowds all around the world. He has a special way of connecting with the audience and taking them on an intense musical journey with his rolling /up tempo, raw sound. So far you might have danced with him on festivals like Tomorrowland, Caprices festival, Drumcode Festival, May Day, Loveland and the list is counting. With an impressive collection of releases on some of the biggest labels, Ramon decided to start his very own imprint - Say What? Records in 2012. The label delivers a proper dancefloor-ready Techno from respected names and new kids pulling the wagon for the new generation under his supervision. It all started when he gradually learned how to produce tracks solo, with a foundation in pounding techno and hardcore scene which resulted in several releases and remixes , while going to school to become a gold smith he had a job in Antwerp’s famous record store “USA import” where he sculpted a broad taste in music and his production skills along the way. He found his resurgence in the 00’s, forging a new school techno sound with his release ‘Land Of Drum’ on Pocket the sublabel of Music Man, a release on Gayle San’s label Equator and more house styled tracks on New York’s legendary Strictly Rhythm label. That's where his name catapulted into the limelight, becoming the biggest turning point for his career, resulting in a residency at Sankey’s Ibiza for three years, multiple bookings around the globe, rapidly growing loyal fan base and global recognition! • PREMIERE: M.F.S: Observatory - This Is How We Do [Observatory Music]

  M.F.S: Observatory is Mattia Turchetti, a London-based Italian who constantly innovates in the studio and has put out a wealth of raw, deep sounds and live beats that push genre boundaries. With releases on top labels such as Second State, Complexed Records and Kneaded Pain, his music has picked up widespread acclaim while he has played everywhere from Helsinki to Berlin and Italy. He heads up his own Observatory Music label, which is where he returns now with his latest irresistible dance floor missives. The title cut kicks off with thumping Detroit techno drums and pulsing synths that bring warm waves of emotion to what is a soulful cut. 'Squence C' is darker and more mysterious with a creepy blend of synth modulations and stark melodies over heavy, dubby beats. 'Kalimba' shows off M.F.S: Observatory's ability to program killer beats with rumbling low ends and razor-sharp hi-hats, all making for perfect stripped-back but effective body music. 'Dubby' is a textured wonder with fizzing pads, jostling broken beat patterns and dark energy, while 'This Is How We Do' pairs pounding kick drums with tripped-out synths and siren-like stabs that bring the rave. Elsewhere 'Reversed Sustain' explores the outer edges of the cosmos with twinkling melodies, 'Take Your Life' is a thrilling mix of wiry lines and vocal fragments, breaks and hard edge bass and 'Break Reverse' closes down with zoned-out pads and tough breakbeats.   Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @boriquatribez for its 108th episode of Amplify Series. Since 1989 Uncertain (formerly known as Boriqua Tribez) has become a driving force in Electronic Music. His prevailing interest for different styles in music is responsible for his unique variety of classic elements and recent influences, whether as a DJ or producer. Currently performing on 3 decks Uncertain marks his DJing for being fast, proper & "telling stories". Travelling around the Globe and DJ-Support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Radio Slave, Truncate, Honey Dijon, Carl Cox, Luke Slater, Paco Osuna, DJ Rush, Will Clarke, Danny Howard, Eats Everything, DJ Bone, Danny Tenaglia, etc.. confirmes his recognition as an artist. After more than 50 Releases/Remixes on Labels like KMS (Label of Techno Originator Kevin Saunderson), Recycled Loops (former Label of UMEK/Valentino Kanzyani), Ingoma (former Label of Ben Sims), Primate,.. in the last two decades it was finally time to move on from Boriqua Tribez to the next chapter called "Uncertain".
