In this episode, we take another short break from the lore of the Fated Place and instead deal with our own trials and tribulations by exposing our mental gribblies and the gribblies of some of our dear friends. To celebrate this year's Mental Health Awareness Week theme, we're discussing all things community, the people the prop us up and the groups that encourage us to share and move forward when our will to do so wanes. In this, our first episode of a mystery faction, we start off with their mysterious place in the game, their mysterious beginnings in 3rd editions and their limited but very mysterious number of army books through the editions. We look at their original and slightly mysterious framing as a ||REDACTED|| faction and their evolution into a High Fantasy version of the same ||REDACTED|| faction. In this our final episode on the warriors of Chaos we take a dive into the tabletop version of the army. We start with the core troops available to all chaos tribes and then expand out to include the more specialised and godbound troop types such as the comical Wrathmongers and the swift Hellstriders. We touch on older versions of the army and the allies and mercenaries they could take, including Dark Elves (Slaanesh), Undead (Nurgle), and Chaos Dwarfs (Khorne)... 50: Chaos Undivided | Warhammer Old World Lore
This episode we turn our attention to the concept of chaos undivided and the role it plays in the tale of chaos as a whole. We discuss the philosophy of “The Great Beast” and how that is expressed through the tribes and armies as a whole in an almost modular fashion. We then take a look at what happens when an entire culture is abandoned by the chaos gods after millennia of favour… the Fimir have returned!
