Only 20 players have played more matches for Tottenham in their history, including Davies' former team-mates Heung-min Son, Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Eric Dier. Spurs did not confirm the length of Davies' new deal, but widespread reports on Wednesday said it was a one-year extension.

As one player commits there future, one departs as but there was no new deal for Bissouma, who played the full 90 minutes in the Bilbao showpiece. Bissouma made 111 appearances for Spurs after arriving from Brighton in 2022, scoring two goals – both of which came in the Premier League in 2024-25.
