The Last Word On Spurs returned to revel in a glorious evening in west London which saw us enjoy a fantastic derby victory at Stamford Bridge after a dominant performance led to two late goals and a well-earned win over Chelsea.

At a ground where so many of our hopes and dreams have been shattered in the past, we completely outclassed the Blues from start to finish, enjoying almost 70 per cent possession in the contest and achieving only our second win at Stamford Bridge in 34 years.

Playing a brand of slick football which our hosts simply couldn’t cope with, we took the lead with 13 minutes remaining when Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders punched the ball into his own net on his first Premier League start. Cole Palmer then saw red after a second booking before we sealed the win thanks to a superb strike from Mathys Tel on his 50th league appearance in our colours.

We discuss if this win truly does give us genuine lift-off under Roberto De Zerbi, the excitement of what this new look Spurs can go onto possibly achieve and whether the panel also really believe we have truly clicked, going into a crucual run of fixtures for the Club.

Without a win in our previous six Premier League games and having slipped to the foot of the table after the weekend’s matches, we produced a battling display to overcome Coventry City and climb to 16th in the standings.

James Maddison – making his first start since 1 May, 2025, and against his home town and boyhood club – set us on the way with a stunning opener before we were pegged back by a Jack Rudoni goal early in the second half.

We weren’t to be denied this time though, with Omar Marmoush netting his first for the club with another wonderful goal, while Ben Davies popped up in stoppage time to secure the points. Perhaps the biggest cheer of the night though was reserved for Swedish forward Kulusevski, who came off the bench late on having been out of action for 17 months.
