The next morning, her body was found lying in front of the altar in a truly disturbing, and shocking scene. News of her murder spread quickly across campus, and investigators were tasked with finding the cold blooded killer who murdered Arlis. It would take decades, but they would finally find out who was responsible.

    Below the Surface is a true crime podcast covering a variety of strange and bizarre cases with one common theme; a water connection. 
    The show features both solved and unsolved cases, some of which are well known, while others have received little attention.
    In this special preview of episode 1, we explore the puzzling case of Kim Wall who was Best known for her articles in the Guardian, New York Times, and Vice, journalist. She disappeared in a submarine beneath the Oresund Strait after interviewing inventor, Peter Madsen, on August 10, 2017. We can only speculate what exactly happened below the surface, but upon the submarine's resurface, Kim was missing, but Peter Masden was not.     Clemson University sophomore, Tucker Hipps, pledged to Sigma Phi Epsilon and joined their pledge run on Sept 22nd, 2014. He never returned, and his body was later found floating in Hartwell Lake under the I-93 bridge. Twenty-nine SigEp members were with Tucker on the run, but none of them came forward to explain how he died. Over a decade later, what happened to Tucker is still a mystery, and his parents have spent the last 10 years fighting for justice.

A missing persons report soon turned into a murder investigation that would haunt Halifax, Nova Scotia for the next decade.
