Zoe’s Husband Drugged Her Evening Tea. For Years He Assaulted Her While She Slept

    02/09/2026 | 1 h 8 min
In 2018 Zoe Watts' family believed her 16-year marriage was ending due to an affair. Struggling with debilitating panic attacks, sleeplessness, and nervous breakdowns, she finally confided in her sister, revealing a far more horrifying reality. Her husband hadn't just splintered their family with infidelity; he confessed to secretly drugging her with their son's sleeping medication and sexually abusing her while she was unconscious.
Years before the world learned the name Gisèle Pelicot, Zoe was forced to navigate the shadowed, rarely discussed reality of spousal drug-facilitated rape. After seeing her husband sentenced to 11 years in prison, Zoe waived her legal anonymity to share her story as part of a global CNN investigation exposing online "rape academies"—hidden communities where thousands of men swap tips for drugging their partners. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Gemma Bath speaks with Zoe Watts about surviving unimaginable betrayal, standing up against secret online networks, and her crusade to reform the laws that allow this crime to fester in the dark.

The Lindsay Clancy Trial Mini Series: The Defence's Case

    01/09/2026 | 12 min
After 14 days of testimony and nearly 70 witnesses presented by the prosecution, the defence in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial took the floor. Their core argument? That Lindsay should not be held criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children because she was in the depths of severe postpartum psychosis.
In the latest episode of our mini-series tracking the trial, we walk through the defence's argument, led by attorney Kevin Reddington. Featuring powerful testimony from Lindsay’s mother, mother-in-law, and key psychiatric experts, the defence presents evidence to show a devoted mother begging for help, misdiagnosed, and allegedly failed by a fragmented medical system. We also examine the prosecution's rebuttal, including testimony from FBI psychiatrist Dr. Gregory Saathoff, who challenged the credibility of Lindsay’s auditory hallucinations.

The Lindsay Clancy Mini Series: A World Obsessed

    31/08/2026 | 17 min
Why is the world so obsessed with the Lindsay Clancy trial? While she admits to the unimaginable act of killing her three children, the public reaction has been unusually complex. Instead of universal vilification, there is a profound wave of sympathy for a mother who sought help for severe postpartum psychosis. In the latest episode of our mini-series tracking the trial, we explore the Prosecution's case and the key evidence that has been presented to the court.

    27/08/2026 | 20 min
In episode three of our mini-series tracking the trial of Lindsay Clancy, we unpack the prosecution's opening statements and core arguments. Through 14 days of testimony and over 70 witnesses, prosecutors detailed Lindsay’s digital footprint, hospital records, and phone notes expressing maternal burnout. Katherine Knight Killed Her Boyfriend. Then She Served Him For Dinner

    26/08/2026 | 1 h 18 min
In October 2000, the small Hunter Valley town of Aberdeen, New South Wales, became the scene of one of the most horrific crimes in Australian history. John Price was brutally murdered in his home by his partner, Katherine Knight, an abattoir worker with a long, history of domestic violence against the men in her life but with no criminal record to show for this. What police discovered inside the house shocked even the most seasoned investigators: Knight had skinned, decapitated, and cooked parts of her partner, creating a horrific crime scene that remains etched in true crime history.
Katherine Knight was the first, and to this day only, woman in Australian history to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Gemma Bath sits down with author Roje Augustine, who spent three years researching Knight's life to unpack her upbringing in Aberdeen, her fascination with the abattoir kill rooms, and the escalation of her violent relationships.
