In Eight Minutes Of Footage Jessica Zrinski Doesn’t Get Out Of The Car Once

    19/08/2026 | 43 min
At 8:49am on a Tuesday morning in November 2022, 30-year-old Jessica Zrinski was captured on CCTV in the passenger seat of a blue Holden Commodore pulling into a service station in Mount Victoria. Trailing from her passenger door was a massive tree branch, and driving the car was Paul Jones, a man she had met outside a Western Sydney pub just hours earlier.
Those eight minutes and 40 seconds of footage would be the last time Jessica was ever seen alive. Soon after, Jones vanished off the grid for nearly three years, eventually located by police living in a camouflaged cave in dense bushland before being subpoenaed to give evidence at her coronial inquest.
In this episode of True Crime Conversations, NewsCorp investigative journalist Ashlea Hansen joins Gemma Bath to unpack the bizarre timeline, the extensive searches through the Blue Mountains bushland, and what Jessica’s family hopes to finally learn as the inquest resumes.

‘Just A Witness.’ Inside A Sexual Assault Trial In Australia

    12/08/2026 | 1 h
In October 2019, 23-year-old Sarah Rosenberg went on a date at Sydney’s noodle markets with a man she had recently met on a dating app. But when they returned to his place and Sarah explained that she was feeling unwell and didn’t want to be intimate, the night turned into a horrific nightmare.
What followed was a grueling journey through a legal system that often felt like it was putting Sarah on trial rather than the man accused. From having her private medical and therapy records subpoenaed to enduring four and a half days of brutal cross-examination without her own lawyer, Sarah experienced firsthand how deeply the justice system can disempower survivors of sexual violence.
In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Sarah Rosenberg joins Gemma Bath to share her story, expose the hidden realities of reporting sexual assault in Australia, and discuss how her experience led her to found With You We Can, a registered charity and legal education platform designed to support victims navigating the process.
Together, they examine the urgent need for structural reform, the push for independent legal representation for victim-survivors, protecting confidential counselling records, and how to restore agency to those seeking justice.

After 6000 Autopsies, This Was The Case That Broke Him

    05/08/2026 | 53 min
In March 2021, police in South Australia’s Flinders Ranges uncovered a shallow grave containing the body of 21-year-old Jasmeen Kaur. What forensic pathologist Professor Roger Byard discovered during her autopsy, soil inhaled deep into her airways revealed a horrifying truth: Jasmeen had been buried alive.
In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Gemma Bath sits down with Professor Roger Byard, one of Australia’s most respected forensic pathologists, following his recent retirement from an extraordinary career. He opens up about investigating the horrific Snowtown murders, identifying victims of the Bali bombings and Boxing Day tsunami, and what four decades on the frontline of death has taught him.

Daniel Mancuso's Father Killed His Mother. The Grief Feels Different This Year.

    29/07/2026 | 51 min
It’s a cold July night in Melbourne in 2013 when an elderly neighbour hears terrifying screams coming from the home next door. When police arrive, they find 49-year-old Teresa Mancuso murdered in her parent's garage, the victim of a vicious act of family violence at the hands of her ex-husband.
Though Teresa’s two sons, Daniel and Luke, knew immediately who was responsible, it would take two excruciating years of living in fear before their father was finally arrested and charged.
Grieving and back in the house where their mother died, the brothers found unexpected hope through the fence. Their Greek neighbour, a loving grandmother, began passing home-cooked meals to the boys, adopting them as her own and ultimately inspiring a movement now known as Yiayia Next Door.
In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Daniel Mancuso joins us to reflect on his mother’s legacy, navigating deep grief, breaking the cycle of family violence, and turning community kindness into a powerful movement for change.
