Her First Performance as a Married Woman, New Endings for August and All Too Well, and the Green Dress Everyone Is Decoding
30/08/2026 | 9 minTaylor Swift gave her first performance since marrying Travis Kelce, and she did it at the Grammy Museum's Icon Sessions — a twenty-year retrospective, a long conversation with Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., and then a surprise mashup at the flower-painted piano from the Eras Tour. She wove "I Knew It, I Knew You" from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack into "August" and "All Too Well," and reworked both endings so they landed somewhere hopeful instead of where they usually land. Lyla gets into what that means, plus the green dress that has Swifties convinced her re-recorded debut is close.
🎹 The performance was recorded August 18 at the Clive Davis Theater and released on YouTube August 24. Fewer than 200 people were in the room.
💚 The dress is Dôen's Nelida in "green jasper" — 1930s-inspired, cascading ruffles, crimson floral at the shoulder. Fans and outlets have linked the shade to the seafoam gown from her "Teardrops on My Guitar" era.
📅 Her self-titled debut turns 20 on October 24. She confirmed in a May 2025 letter that the re-recording is finished. No release date has been announced.
🏀 Caitlin Clark debuts a "Friendship Bracelet" colorway of her Nike signature shoe, inspired by the Eras Tour trend.
🕊️ Nashville is still mourning Dolly Parton, and Taylor talked about feeling more loyal than ever to her country roots.

26/08/2026 | 9 minDolly Parton died Tuesday in Nashville at 80, after what her representatives called a brief battle with cancer. Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced it in a video on her official Instagram; her team said she spent her life bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity to everything she touched. This week's episode sets the usual show aside. Lyla looks at what Dolly meant to Taylor Swift specifically — the Nashville songwriter who kept her publishing, ran her own business, and made it possible for a girl with a guitar and a notebook to imagine doing the same. Dolly turned down Elvis rather than give up half of "I Will Always Love You." Decades later, Taylor re-recorded six albums to get hers back. And one more thing, which nobody could have known at the time. A few weeks ago Taylor and Travis gave $2 million to Dolly's Imagination Library, and Dolly answered with a video — thanking them, making a joke, and singing a line of her most famous song. It turned out to be one of her last public moments. Taylor's full tribute is on her Instagram, and it's worth reading in her own words.

23/08/2026 | 8 minTaylor Swift is one win away from becoming the most-awarded artist in VMA history. She picked up nine nominations for the 2026 Video Music Awards, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year, and she's currently tied with Beyoncé at 30 career wins — so a single Moon Person on September 27 breaks the tie for good. Lyla gets into the numbers, plus Dolly Parton's video thank-you for the $2 million the couple gave her Imagination Library, and Taylor's first Instagram post in over a month, which turned out not to be about her at all.
🏆 Nine nominations, second only to Madonna's eleven. Fan voting is open through September 25; the show airs live September 27 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on CBS and MTV.
📚 Dolly Parton posts a video thanking Taylor and Travis for their gift to the Imagination Library and jokes she'd like to have their firstborn.
📱 The first post back: an Instagram story celebrating Phoebe Bridgers' birthday and her new album.
💍 Taylor attends audio engineer Laura Sisk's wedding solo, in navy embroidered with gold, with a new side-swept fringe.

16/08/2026 | 9 minTaylor Swift's music quietly disappeared this week from TikTok posts by the White House and Team Trump accounts — no statement, no clapback, just silence where the songs used to be. Lyla gets into what that says about owning your own catalog, plus Travis Kelce's first public comments since the wedding, including why Madison Square Garden was a lifelong dream and what he says was the best part of the night. And Graham Norton reviews the wedding on UK radio, with the gentlest possible pinch of sass. Below the fold: 🎵 Songs including "August," "Red" and "Father Figure" came off White House and Team Trump TikTok posts. Swift hasn't commented, and it isn't publicly confirmed who initiated the removals.
💍 Travis Kelce on the wedding: "the best night of my life." On MSG: a childhood dream he'd always pictured as a Knicks playoff game. On the best part: the air conditioning.
🏈 Back at camp in St. Joseph for a 14th season he's called his sanctuary, with something to prove — and Andy Reid in his corner.
🎤 Graham Norton calls it "a lovely, lovely wedding," describes a shut-down New York and big black curtains, and admits there were one or two things he'd have done differently.

09/08/2026 | 11 minA month after the Madison Square Garden wedding, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly settling into Kansas City and building one life instead of two. Lyla gets into what's being reported about their first month, why Jason Kelce cried harder at his brother's wedding than his own, and the wedding rings that have Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid fielding marriage questions. Plus Andy Reid taking on a rumor that seems to have started with a fake video — and yes, we're still waiting on the dress. Below the fold: 💍 One month married. Reports say Kansas City is home base for now, with Taylor's New York place staying put.
💎 Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid were photographed in Paris on August 3 wearing Boucheron bands. Neither has confirmed a marriage, and their reps haven't commented.
😭 Kylie Kelce sets the record straight on her own podcast: Jason absolutely cried at their wedding — and their four daughters were Travis's flower girls.
🏈 Andy Reid says Travis looks the same as always and has been "playing like crazy," pushing back on a dad-body rumor traced to a video that appears to be AI-generated.
📺 The new season of Ted Lasso works in a Kansas City nod to the Taylor Swift effect — from a writers' room full of Swifties.
